Aftercare Guide
  • Following any injectable treatment, it is advised to not take vitamin E, aspirin or any similar Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), smoke or consume alcohol for at least 24 hours.
  • Avoid touching the treated area or applying with products for 6 hours following treatment. After that light makeup can be applied and the area can be gently washed with soap and water.
  • To encourage rapid healing and/or bruising is a concern use our Ultimate Recovery cream.  We will also provide you with a sample-size healing salve in your care pack.
  • Within the first 24 hours of treatment, You may apply a cold compress to the treated areas to help reduce swelling. (Wrap
    ice in a cloth to avoid putting ice directly onto the skin.)
  • Avoid drinking alcohol or partaking in vigorous exercise, as it may result in additional bruising. Where possible do not
    exercise for atleast 24 hours after your procedure as it can cause migration of filler.
  • Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, avoid intense heat/Extreme Cold in the treated area(s). This includes sunbathing, tanning, saunas, hot tubs, or hot wax. skiing or other winter sports.
  • Avoid any further beauty treatments to the same area for at least 24 hours following your aesthetic treatment.
  • If you have previously suffered facial herpes, there is a risk that injections could contribute to another eruption.
  • Minimise touching and movement of the treated area(s). However, if there is a visible bump or firmness, you can massage the
    area as directed. These areas will soften and settle with time (usually 2-4 weeks)
  • The final result will be apparent approximately 14 days after treatment. If you have any concerns, please book in for a review after this two-week period is up.

How shall I prepare for my treatment?
  • For a week before and after the procedure, avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, Ibuprofen and Vitamin E, as well as certain food supplements such as fish oil, liquorice, garlic, ginger, ginkgo and green tea
  • Avoid alcohol for 48 hours pre-and post treatment.
  • Avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Salicylic Acid, or other “anti-aging”, “acne”, and “bleaching” products.
  • Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal cream on the area to be treated.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily of SPF 30 or higher item.
What should I expect after the treatment?

The expected healing sequence and expected treatment side effects include redness, swelling, bruising, slight discomfort, and possibly unevenness, small bumps, firmness or tenderness. It‘s not uncommon for these
symptoms to last up to two weeks, and four weeks in some case – Please do not panic! It is normal during this period to not be
entirely happy with your results. Patience here is key.
