VI Peels do not just remove the surface layers of skin. Instead, advanced chemical peels such as VI Peels are designed to penetrate skin layers in a controlled manner, for skin tightening and collagen-inducing benefits. In the process, they increase the shedding of surface layers of your skin to reveal the healthy layers underneath.
Skin peels are effective for treating the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, mild scarring, certain types of acne, age spots and hyperpigmentation, as well as improving the look and feel of your skin.
VI Peel is a blend of TCA (trichloroacetic acid), retinoic acid (Vitamin A), salicylic acid, phenol, and vitamin C which work together to safely remove the damaged layers of the skin.
Depending on which Vi Peel is used other ingredients may include hydroquinone, kojic acid, benzoyl peroxide and hydrocortisone. The VI Peel Treatment involves the application of this safe and controlled acid to the skin, which exfoliates the outermost layers, promoting the growth of new, healthier skin cells. Before commencing the VI Peel Treatment, our experts will conduct a thorough consultation to assess your skin type, medical history, and any specific concerns you may have. Once your practitioner assesses your goals, they will apply one of VI Peel’s six unique chemical peel formula options. This painless application involves sweeping strokes of a liquid formula via a gauze, with time in between each layer for the product to absorb and the technician to assess your skin’s reaction. Your practitioner will provide you with a take-home kit with specific post-treatment instructions and skin care products to ensure the best VI Peel experience. Included in the kit is a QR code for our App which helps you care for your skin and track your progress. A typical post-peel will show some flaking by day 2 and peeling by day 3 – 5. By day 6, the peeling will ease. By day 7, most patients have stopped peeling and that fresh glowing skin is on full display!
